Rapture - Is Live and Well in New York City (DVD) Spawned from a little-known San Francisco synthesizer group called The Calculators, which included Vito Roccoforte on drums san francisco ballroom dancing and Luke Jenner on vocals san francisco ballroom dancing and guitar, The Rapture was born when those two broke off to form a duo of their own. Greatly influenced by the 80s British band Gang of Four, the group is to a large degree responsible for the post-punk revival seen at the turn of the millennium.
